The bright structures really catch the eye. I haven’t seen many B&W rainbow landscapes. How did the color version look? The sky tones look great; well done.

I don't know, to me the rainbow has lost its character in conversion, perhaps if more color band definition of the rainbow could be brought out...

joe - thank you. The colour version was quite vivid.

Douglas - I actually thought about a "mixed" version with a coloured rainbow but decided against it. As you know in monochrome the colours at either end of the spectrum tend to fade into the background. Thanks for a thoughtful comment.

Well, Peter, I won't pile on about rainbows in B&W (

).
I WILL pile on about the overall shot- I also really like it.
Especially the contrast and overall balance of the image. Very dramatic.
