BTW, Carrryspeed now offers a filter adapter for 52mm filters. I use that for other filters and since I have a CPL that is 52mm, I am using that instead of the Carryspeed version.

Just caught this through my window, and screen. Great that it can do so well with harsh light and still show such details.

Agreed. I think the RX100 is one of the best cameras to come out in the past few years because it brings so much to the table. It's tiny, truly pocketable and especially under ISO 800 it pretty much matches any other mirrorless camera out there! For me it gets even better because at f/1.9 I can take pictures in very low light (early morning hiking / climbing /skiing) with a DOF more like f/4 or f/5.6. As a landscape guy this is awesome.

Very nice thread. It's inspiring to see what the camera is capable of in the right hands. I especially like Claude's and Vern's landscape photos on the previous page.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago, but have only taken a few test shots with it, so I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. Here is one that turned out OK, I think:

I have been considering the RX-100 for a while now for a travel camera. I love my Canon 5D III, but sometimes it is just too much to take along. I finally ordered the RX-100 with the Sony retro style case. Hopefully, I will be able to contribute to this thread soon.

Really impressed with this little camera. Currently have the modified Carry speed filter thingy modified as suggested by Millsart. For some reason my initial long exposures with a 10 stop looks blurry so must be doing something wrong. This was just a quick shot from my porch with a CPL and converted in SEP2.

Hopefully turning off the stabilization fixes the issue. Don't know what else it could be otherwise

That's exactly what it was. Noticed it too whenI had my K5 and pretty sure I forgot to turn the SR off on it as well. Did a few long exposures this evening and the results were much sharper. Will try my hand at some this week and post.

Ever since I lost my L758DR I've been using the RX100 as my meter for my large format camera.

I meter at f/11 ISO100 on the RX100 and then add 5 stops for shooting with a center filter and Polariser at f/22 on my Ebony.

Here are a couple of test shots (all f/4.0 ISO125) on the RX100.

Are you sure still need those large format shoots?

Haha I still get a genuine 100megapixel out of a 4x5 scan. But the RX100 is impressive.

Yes, I know. I still own, but no longer use , a 4x5 and a 5x7 Sinar Norma, and I know what a joy to look at those giant slides
