Hi, this is my first try of making a panorama (horizontal) using the basic RRS single row pano rig. (Used the 5D3 and 24mm TSE II). It stitched almost perfectly using PS photomerge without any tweaks

Nicely done! It's a real task to try out a new rig and do long exposure at the same time; you're braver than I am!

Jajaj yeah. I said what the heck, let me give a shot and see what happens. I took my time figuring out the nodal point with the same degree of overlap, focus and aperture settings. Its tough to do it with a wide angle.

Using the 24mm TSE II on the 5D3 with the RRS L plate and single row rig the setting is 4 on the slider. (almost infinity focus and f11)

Cool. I'm thinking about getting some type of pano setup, but on the much cheaper side like the panosaurus...

Very nice! You will have to excuse my ignorance, but what city is this?

No excuse needed! Its San Juan, Puerto Rico. Those who know it well might recognize it otherwise its tough to tell since the most distinctive elements are the forts in the old city (which is about a mile or 2 behind me)

Very nice! With a bit of practice it's not hard to make a pano, but you got such a good exposure, which really makes this image sing.

Great shot. Is that a stitching glitch at the very bottom-center... looks like the tail lights disappear on one side of the streetlight?

Thx for the comments! The RRS rig is awesome and really helpful in setting up time and time again and getting consistent results. Its really well though out, simple and rock solid but smooth and packs small.

Wonderful images. I'm not familiar with the RRS rig. Any chance you could post a photo of your set-up?

This are the 2 main parts. (RRS Image) I also added the L plate for the 5D mark III.
