I see what you're going for, just not sure if it grabs me. I think if the stalk didn't continue to the top right? I don't know.

This one's kind of growing on my (no pun intented).
The shaft has an apparent clean arch and the blade is a "statement"
I sort of agree w/Mike about the shafts continuance.
Rather than an abrupt ending, perhaps a sort of fade to black?
Thanks for posting

BTW, I'm trying to work with some thistle/teasel in a similar manner!
