Very cute subject and yes she is photogenic. (The white balance looks off a little to me though, she has an orange /yellow tinge)

I can see the orangey cast now, thanks. Is this better? I was using "shade" white balance in Canon DPP.

2nd pic - The depth of field is such that you can easily remove the other person in the background. The blue, white, elbow and leg are a bit distracting. Cute kid! You may be biased but your also right

White balance looks much better in your second post, the close up is still a little warm for my taste but not bad.
