I have not seen any super retail deals. Think I saw used one in FM Buy & Sell.
Amazon for $ 579 which I think is pretty good. I paid a lot more for mine.
When they just arrived in local stores, I stopped in and they had three. Asked, how much for three? They gave me $ 15 off each ($615 + tax). but later bought two with double rebate for $ 570 each (plus tax).
Considering that a 580EX II plus Radio Popper is $750. The price on the 600EX-RT seems especially good. Really one of the few things that Canon has released lately that wasn't blatantly overpriced. I picked up two when they were $599 and am now just waiting for the ST-E3-RT to come back in stock at B&H.
Price is $629 - $50 with code = $579. Total with shipping for me was $587.
MPEX is a small photo shop in Columbus, Ohio that offers some of the best customer service that I have ever experienced in 30 years in the business. Highly recomended by me (no business connectuion - just a customer for 10+ years.)(One of the owners, Stu, gave me his home phone number and offered to come in on Thanksgiving day so that I could pick up a largee format printer. Etc.)
In the past, your best bet for hands on, "boutique" customer service was to get to know a sales person, then call them when you need something. For small items like this, online web ordering is easier, like most other places.
They also have refurbished Canon 7D bodies at $1,292 - Discount Code CLIPPERS6
I looked at a Canon 70-200 2.8 IS II on their site. The price is $2,049, it says USA.
But then I clicled on "what is in the box", this is what they have listed:
E77 Front Cap
1 Year Warranty
B&H has it at $2,239. This is what is in the box that the lens normally ships with from Canon:
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens
E-77U 77mm Snap-On Lens Cap
Lens Dust Cap E (Rear)
LZ1326 Lens Case
ET-87 Lens Hood
Tripod Mount Ring
Looks like they pulled the Lens Case, Lens Hood, and Tripod Mount Ring from the box. Maybe the rear lens cap too?
No doubt to try to sell you those things as extras, along with other items. Or sell those to someone else to make up for teh lower cost? It sounds like a classic "bait & switch"/"it only comes with the bare body, you have to buy a battery" type scam that companies have used for years.

I was going to do the same but just bought another 600 as my ST-3R instead.
