Hi All,

Inspired by the great works here (always checking out LordVs work amongst many others) I have decided to post some pics and see what sort of reception I get.

These are taken over the last few weeks mostly, some are for challenge entries elsewhere and others are just because I love having the macro on the camera these days and my daughters, my stepson and I go for long walks around our local nature reserve regularly.

Hope you like them.

Mark

These look awesome. I am starting into macro myself but I can definitely appreciate a good macro shot when I see one. Was your 100mm Canon enough for the close-up shots?

You sem to have the technical side covered.

For the last one, I suggest losing a lot of the left side:

a) Because it doesn't add much except more white background

b) Purists (general photography) say that the subject should look, or be moving, into the image, not out of it. The space just adds to the moving out effect.

Thanks Harold, it was part of a Diptych and I do normally leave space for looking in or out of a frame.

Here's the Diptych image in case anyones interested.

Thanks, these were all shot with the 100 USM on it's own, I do have tubes but didn't use them for any of these. I will use them more once I have my flash setup sorted as they definitely cut down on available light.
