The lens that I'm getting the best results with for my types of exposures is without a doubt the 24-105. I'd almost be certain that if I had the 70-200 II that I'd be extremely pleased with the IQ and versatility of using it. The weight is just a little outside my comfortable zone due to some physical restrictions and things not working as well as they should...I am however looking forward to my pre-order with the 24-70 II as it's generating some interest, and this lens could easily take my top lens spot!
I really love my 24L II lens, but is it really my favorite? My lens lineup constantly changes. The lone exception being my 24-105L. Therefore, I voted for that as my favorite lens. But I just have to say, I'm completely in love with my 24L II.
Boy, it was hard to choose from the lenses I own, but I voted for the 85mm f1.8 over my 70-200 L f2.8.
I love shooting candid portraits and the 85mm is just a gorgeous lens. It's small and unobtrusive compared to the 70-200 and has just gorgeous bokeh, especially when shot wide open. Before I had it my 90mm Summicron on my M3 was my favorite, but I think this lens looks as good or better.
In order of preference, my favorites are TSE-17 (not included), 500 F4II (not included), 24-105 f4 (most used landscape lens), and 100-400 (most used in close wildlife lens).
But since my two favorites don't make the list, I vote for my most used lens for landscape which is a slight preference for my 2nd most used wildllife lens (100-400).
