Hi
Hoping someone may have come across this problem before.. Everything was working great then picked it up a couple of days ago and nothing. Battery was charged and also tried a few other batteries ,still nothing.
Same thing with or without grip.
Camera is 4-5 years old but doesn't have a high shutter count and has never been mistreated.
Appreciate any info or help.
Roland
Try looking at the contacts in the battery compartment and make sure they are clean. If they are good then it could be that the main board had got fried.
Contacts in battery compartment are clean but just to be sure I cleaned them with alcohol. From what I've been ready it does sound like the mainboard. Came across quite a few posts on the problem.
Not going to stress myself about much more.
Thanks for your time guys.
I had a D300 that did the same thing. I tried switching batteries, cleaning contacts, etc, all to no avail. Sent it in for repair and they had to replace the main board. Hope you have better luck.
yes, try the EH-6 adapter. It zaps the DC circuit board and it magically comes to life like the alien ships in independence day. trust me... I discovered this a couple years ago. Got a free D200 out of the deal.
