Nighty Nightgown

I have a new muse and she sells vintage clothes in her Etsy store. We photographed 19 outfits in 13.5 hours to include smoke breaks and a dinner delivery. It was a painful next day to be sure.

Comments and Criticisms are always welcome. This was shot with a D800 and nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens and two SB-900 and two Vivitar 285HV Thyristor Zoom's triggered wirelessly.

well, not the best facial expression... not really liking the pose either, the way both of her hands are curled in.

second the previous comment however, I found the colors and the mood of the image very well done. A couple of corrections on the mentioned technicals and it would be awesome.

Her hands remind me of snakes, now that you mention it.

There are several similar ones to this, but I liked this facial expression the best. Though, she didn't pick this one to be one of the 5 photos on Etsy for the nightgown.

Not into this too much. The tilt seems obligatory and uncalled for, the lighting is not for her, but the environment and her pose feels uncomfortable to look at.

As for the photo, not sure the blue background works. Maybe a warmer colour?

You're right.

I meant obligatory in that a lot of inexperienced shooters use this to create interest and it becomes obligatory in that style of shooting. I probably should have said, "yet uncalled for". ??

We also had amber, red, blue and I think white in the background for some, but with different outfits. Cyan works quite well with her colors.

As for tilt? Well, some like it, some don't. That is not a new discussion.
