This one was from last summer at the far South West tip of Cornwall in the UK.
The cliffs here are 300ft high and are the cause of hundreds of shipwrecks over the years.
The lighthouse warning of the danger is on the horizon. One of my fave views.

Love it!

In 1965 Carleton Mitchell sailed a 38 ft yawl, the Finisterre, through the islands of the Caribbean and wrote a book called The Caribees, published by National Geographic, which I read and re-read in my younger days. (I still have the book.) It fueled my dreams of sailing and curiosity about all places named "Land's End."

Thank you so much for sharing this! The beauty you've captured here exceeds my imagination of the spot.

Beautiful image, David. The lighthouse looks so tiny, or it's very far away and the distances are deceptive. You did say the cliffs were 300ft high, so the scale of it all is very deceptive to the eye. Quite lovely.

Lands End is a pretty special place with lot of moods. It's 3000 miles of open ocean from the tip to the states. Winter gales can turn it into a pretty wild place. I never get tired of visiting.
