what are your thoughts on the IQ between the 800 IS at 5.6 vs 600 IS II with 1.4TC III at f/5.6 now that you have used the 600 IS II extensively? I think you mentioned on par in your initial review. Thanks.

I think the sharpness is comparable between the two and whatever subtle differences will become somewhat irrelevant in the field as there are many more variables that affect IQ. I prefer the 600 for its weight and versatility.

I have a 600mmII and will be getting a canon 2x III soon. Won't it work on the 1dx AF?
