I like the POV. Both feel like they could use some punch. Maybe a tad more contrast in the first.
What are you using for BW conversions? In LR or PS I'd pull down the luminosity or the blues, cyans to get a deeper sky. Or do some burning.

I would increase the contrast of the B&W considerably and do some burning of the highlights in the rocks as sbeme suggests
