I get offer for Leica 100mm APO and ELPRO with euro1680. Lens is perfect but there is minor marks of usage and small nicks on barrel. Is it good price? I cannot judge between Zeiss 100 and Leica.
The Zeiss ZE/ZF 100/2 is a wonderful lens and about as sharp as the Leica, but has _much_ more color fringing in the bokeh at wide apertures. Here's a comparison between it and the Leica and the Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 125/2.5: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1025651/0#9747210 (continues on page 2). The Zeiss and Leica are both incridible lenses but with different strengths.
The price offer you got for the Leica doesn't seem to be great, but not particularly bad either. On ebay the prices vary a lot.
If I recall, there was an infinity test between the two on a paid site and the Leica handily beat the MP100. Both easily out resolved the Nikon 105mm VR.
In the comparison I linked to above there is little difference in sharpness (maybe the Leica has a bit more DOF), but the Leica's bokeh is a bit more edgy.
Anyway, the Zeiss and the Leica will show some significant differences in character (the Zeiss having a very pronounced character) and the Zeiss isn't exactly weak at infinity, AFAIK. I got remarks about the Leica having field curvature at infinity when I asked about that lens in a thread here.
My subscription lapsed not that I would share his work publicly anyway.
Your statement is not correct. I have just read this review and there is hardly any difference in sharpness between the Zeiss and Leica. Sometimes the Zeiss is better, sometimes the Leica (depending on the part of the frame).
I paid around 1000 € only for the lens. It was a kind of Leica demo lens with full warranty and looked like never used. For that the price seems a little bit high but I have at present no idea about the elpro value.
Thanks for all your kind reply. SLRlensreview site test result more favor on Zeiss for sharpness and distortion.
@Rolf when did you purchase your lens?

Last year Wilco.
Seems that the prices increased a little bit but actually there are mainly dealers offering this lens. For my taste too expensive.
