Took all these this week with the 1DX. All were in very dark, cloudy conditions (I believe all the images are at ISO 6,400).
The goats were interesting subjects. Not so skiddish that they would instantly run from your presence, but clearly not totally comfortable either. They would get quite close, but any sudden movements and they would scamper away (only to wander back over later).
The last image was quite a feat with the baby and the adult staring me down (less than 10 feet away.) I very slowly crouched down and pulled my camera to my eye. (It was also a bit nerve wracking getting so low, knowing that if the adult with the horns decided he'd had enough of me, I wasn't in a great position to defend myself!)
Would love some feedback and thoughts from those of you who actually shoot wildlife on a regular basis! (I'm mostly a sports/wedding photographer).
3 would be my pick with a bit less room on the right. The conversion works well with this guy. 2 is a nice shot, I think it would be better with more room in front of the subject and a lot less room behind the subject
