It's actually the boundary between the Okanagan and West Kootenays. I grew up not far from here, I don't know why I never stopped to photograph this old homestead. Thanks for posting this.

Great image. Just a couple of suggestions that I don't know will improve the first image, but I thought maybe you can play with by cropping.

1. Reduce the sky in the image to make it a almost a pano.
2. If possible, place the house at a third point in the first image.

I love that second image, especially with the cows lounging about around the house. You could photograph that "till the cows come home."
