Im just starting to use ocf. I'm using phottix Strattos and have the problem that guest cameras set off my flash. Is that just a fact of ocf life or is there something I can do to remedy that? Many thanks!

What model flash are you using? Make sure you set it to Manual instead of slave. If you set it to slave, it will trigger optically (other flashes will set it off) If you have ti set to manual, you shouldn't get any interference.

I use stratto II's myself with Yongnuo 560 II's in manual for the off camera bit if that helps at all...

+1 to what everyone has said.

Disable the optical trigger somehow. What flash unit are you using?

Optical slave can be very useful if you have an annoying uncle bob with a popup flash though. They figure out pretty quickly they can't shoot from your angle.

Yeah, it's crazy when people are shooting and don't know their gear. :P

Are you sure that it's guest's cameras setting off your flashes, and not spurious RF signals?

The Nikon SB600 doesn't have an optical slave and if it did you wouldn't be in that mode anyway using radio triggers. I'd say you need to figure out what's actually triggering your flashes. I haven't had any issues with errant flashes when using my Stratos setup.
