Here is a beginning study of the Jimson Weed. It goes by other names, too: Sacred Datura, Thornapple, and Moon Flower - take your pick. It was a favorite of artist Georgia O'Keeffe. I certainly am not trying to compare my work with hers.
Since the blooms open during the dark and tend to close in the day the best subjects are found early in the day and in the shade. I hope to continue working with this flower as it has many possibilities such as sometimes found pretty much pure white and other times it can have a distinct bluish tint. Thoughts and ideas are always accepted.
You have done a super job with a dificult subject Rodyon. As these flowers grow in a tight vine, I'm impressed how well you seperated them from the backgrounds.
