Another one from my recent trip to Madagascar. It was amazing that there are over 100 different species of lemurs and they vary in size and looks considerably. The lemurs and chameleons were my favorites. I used my Canon 1D4 and the super Canon 70-200f2,8 v2 with a 2x TC for 90% of the photos. I used a 500mm with 1.4TC for the birds, bats and a dragonfly. I took my 1Ds3 for portraits and landscapes .http://www.pbase.com/wfr2/image/143596892/original.jpg
Terrific shot, and I really enjoyed the sideshow link you provided in an earlier post. Looks like you saw an amazing variety of wildlife. Regarding the lemurs, it looks like you were very close to many subjects, were they not shy around humans?

Thanks guys for the nice comments. I will post more. As to the lemurs, some were very tame. I had 2 jump on my shoulder to lick the sweat off my head! These were the brown lemurs. Other species came down to look a us but kept about 5 feet away and still others stayed where they were w/o retreating but did not apprach us. Generally speaking, most Madagascar animals seemed unafraid of us. We did learn that chameleons bite though! We stopped to get one off the road and it was not happy to be picked up
