With the extreme shortage of rainfall this summer, the captive water ponds at our favorite forest preserve has become a virtual death bed for the craw fish and frogs. The Great White Egrets (I lost count after counting to 74) have been systematically decimating them, leaving the Little Green Herons and Black Crowned Night Herons little or no food
