Local contrast adjustments to maximize color and also to tone down the flash on the foliage

These are all from Sunday evening at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Sanctuary here in New York City. There are a number of style changes from what I�ve been doing over the past few months in this set. I�ve dose artistic processing rather than out of the camera work. I�m shooting during the magic hour and I had my flash off, though I did not intend that.

Hi Morris.

This is a favorite technique of mine when it can be done. I love this look vs the documentary out of camera look

Any time you can find an animal beautifully lit against a shadowed background, I think it makes the most amazing images.

Keep working at stuff like this. It really stands out.
