E-PL1 and 28-48 f4 zoom. Odd thing, manually focuses fine but distance scale is way off. This shot must be 20 or 30 feet away but distance scale read like 6 feet.
Hello, I'm considering getting a zuiko 50mm 1.4 to mount on my 5DII as getting rich is taking longer than I though and I want to shoot with good glass. So I have a question I want to ask, maybe somebody can help me here.
Q: If I set the lens to let's say f2.0 and put the 5DII in Av mode, will the camera get the right speed to match the correct exposure by itself?...or I'd be condemned to use it on M mode.

A: You can set the camera to A mode and it will expose more or less correctly. It will work, but if the exact right exposure is important to you you'll need to find out at what aperture openings some exposure correction will be needed. That's easy to do, sometimes harder to remember.

A few more shots to keep the Zuiko love going. All 50 1.4 on a Canon 6D. Just picked up a Silvernose 85mm F2 in the classifieds and it looks very promising.
Love that second shot with the 90 F2 macro - a dream lens for me. Here's a few more portraits of my daughter as it's all I get to shot these days. First one is the 50 1.4 and the second with a newly acquired silvernose 85 f2 at 2.8. I'd heard mixed things about this lens but my copy is fantastic - very sharp wide open and a nice drawing style. 100% crop looks plenty sharp to me.... All shot with a Canon 6D.
you know, in the past we used to have mega-threads for these little gems. Id love to see that again!
I just picked up the 50/2 macro myself and Im already loving it. In fact, if it wont offend Id like to pimp the flickr group I started for it that could really use your shots if you have them: http://www.flickr.com/groups/2184059@N25/
