hmmm. One of the selling points of the EM1 was that it would give native AF speeds on these 4/3 lenses. Maybe I misunderstood

Well I think Olympus technically went with "better AF over the E-M5", which apparently it is.
On their web site, they still make a disclaimer that AF may not meet the levels of E-5 performance.
This could be highly dependent on the glass used, though. Right now I've only got the 50-200. I might get crazy and rent a 90--250 or something one day to see how it goes.
And to be honest, it's not like the E-5 was ever a blazing fast AF performer either -- I had it with the 50mm macro, 50-200 and the 14-54 II and none of them were super-fast, with the 50mm being a downright pain in the ass.
