Bobby, you maybe right. But I like it, the way it was taken. The picture shows that she is just part of an event, and it also shows the ability of the system (face-detection AF plus shallow DOF of the 1.8 aperture). I did not intend to make a close-up portrait but it is certainly sharp enough for a crop.
I'd go along fully with what you say IDURITA, the context in these images is important. many of the greatest images I have are of my family, old toys, untidy rooms and all, they would be called home snap shots, but they have lasting memories of those small but important things about ones life, whilst growing up. They are are a documentary and for future interest invaluable by bringing back many fond memories, without making ones life to artificial.
