You rock man. I am still disappointed I couldn't run your photo booth.

haha ya it was a good time... the group was def. entertaining... we ended up just doing it ourselves because there was only 60 guests.

f8 on 4x5 is not f8 on 35mm (DOF is _much_ more shallow on larger formats). Just saying. ;3

But that aside, these are great. I have a lot of respect for people who work with 4x5 - it takes real patience which is a little more rare than you might think...

Sweet. When these were scanned in, did you change the exposure/contrast levels, or is this straight out of the camera? The blacks are so black and rich (and they are awesome in my opinion).

I don't think the f8 challenge applies to large format where it looks like it's shot at 2.8...

haters gonna hate just because I can achieve a better dof than others @ f8 does not mean that I should be disqualified haha

I did do some dodging and burning with these and also cloned some dust. I did not do anything to the shot that would not easily be duplicated when making a print with the negative.

Dude, these are moneyy. I can't believe you actually lug around this camera at weddings and get away with it. I think a few of your very early 4x5 shots had some OOF issues (then again, it's so narrow with LF systems), but lately you've been nailing them. I just love the feel of these, especially the wider shots like 3, 7, and 8. 7 is my favorite here, for sure. Really good work man. You should definitely make this an exclusive thing and offer it as a premium if you're not already doing it.

#8 is money for me... love that shot... the pose, the composition, the scenery. nailed it. #7 is a close second.

Very nice stuff. 7 is my fave. I don't know if it was possible but a lower perspective on 3 and 4 would have been awesome.

Beautiful work. Unfortunately, the pose of the couple are static in the sense that they so closely mirror one another. Maybe, you were hesitant to take chances. Enviable shots, nevertheless.

@Chuck.. not yet... I have been meaning to send one out but just have not had the time ... not to mention it is a monumental cost if it is just for me to have one.

@Sahid. Thanks man! We have been doing it on and off depending on the time. For some weddings it just makes more sense. For example this weekends weddings were crunched for time so we did not get it out. If someone specifically wants it then we will shoot it but I would say that 65% of the people could really care less... I shoot it more for myself because it is a fun challenge and differentiates us from other photographers. In the future I hope to be able to sell prints but at this point I have not quite got the cliental that would be willing to shell out massive amounts of money for one print.

@Rich -- Thanks!

@Zalmy -- Thanks! 3 and 4 were shot during the first look and are kind of natural moments. I was limited in space and was stuck up on the next flight of stairs... I tried to do my best to frame them and the mountains accordingly. It was super sunny so we had limited options for shade + a good view.

@Rusty -- I hear you on the static ones.. it is a constant challenge I am dealing with. Posing, proper portraits, light, etc... you put it all together and sometimes my creativity falls short. Your suggestion is noted!

I always treat film shooters with an extra edge of respect. I think we all do. You guys are special. Not as in yellow bus special but good special. Not that being on the yellow bus wasn't good eithe....forget it.

These are good photos.
