Yep. I'd be most interested to know how it compares with the 50/1.8 and the 35/2 at similar apertures.

Looking funny is OK if it takes great photos! YMMV.

Also, it let's you tuck the 1DsIII into your back pocket. If you have a big back pocket.

Well, they did that with the 24/2.8 and 28/2.8 so the 35/2 must be next.

Yeah but this one is under $500 bucks...... I still staggered Canon was able to release something for a reasonable price and it's in the wild within a year of the announcement (mine here prob Mon to have a play).....

Personally, I'd be much happier with 50/1.4 with revised optics, IF, ring USM (but STM will also suffice
