I though it was my PC or my Internet connection, but I also tried accessing Fredmiranda.com from different places in Miami and the refreshing of home page is very slow. I think the web site is getting too loaded.

Exactly if you bypass the main Home page, then you can to go directly to the Forum is fast. I think there some new script running in the home page. The page doens't show ready until the script has finished running.

I have my work PC running win 7 on the same DSL lline as my iMac. IE 8 is definitely the speed of molasses when it comes to certain sites such as FM.
All the facebook and doubleclick stuff seem to take forever to load.
On a DSL line extremely slow. With over 60+ cookies to download it takes a long time! Now if you allow the cookies then it goes pretty fast.
Since the site was changed, FM has slowed to the speed of frozen molasses. I'm on a high speed cable connection and the site is so slow that I have punched the keyboard in frustration. The worst part is that while the page loads the computer is so bogged down that you can't even decide to stop opening the page. The computer is completely locked up until the page finally loads. I have had to unplug the computer from the wall to regain control, on more than one occasion.
I am definately going to try mlife's suggestion. The homepage is now more trouble than it is worth.
Agree that the "front" or home page is slow to load while it rolls out whatever script is running. The rest of the site seems fine...I usually experience this with pages filled with Flash components. I have a FioS connection at 35MB's up and down, so I know it's not my computer.....
This site varies dramatically depending on the day or time of day, but overall gets slower and slower. I avoid the home page, preferring to enter through Nikon or Canon.
According to the numbers the server is running blazing fast. There are scripts that must load in some pages but they are not coming from my server. Facebook scripts for example, take a little longer to load.
Those experiencing slow down could you please let me know your browser version and OS?
Thank you,
Fred
Truth be told, my version of XP is also the Media Center Edition. I don't use this as a Media Center, and have as little of the Media Center stuff installed as possible. I didn't even remember it was the Media Center Edition until I saw mlife's post.

That's fine. I'm trying to narrow down what OS version / browser is causing the issue and why. I just tested Windows 7 and the homepage loaded in 2-3 seconds as well.
