I accompanied a friend to a Minneapolis camera store where he intended to buy the 580EXII speedlight. The store was out of them and the store owner said the unit was discontinued. It seems that every store in the country has these in stock and it is still listed on Canon's website. My friend wound up buying a 430EXII which will probably work for him but the whole discontinued thing seemed shakey. Does anyone know if it the 580EXII has been discontinued?
