"Center weighted dates from the 1960s, and spot from the 1980s.

Matrix, the default, works wonders. Use it. It's the only meter I ever use, which is why my exposures are always perfect. Use the older meters like SPOT or CENTER WEIGHT, and you'll always be chasing the right exposures."
