p.1 #1 · Black-Bellied Whistling Duck

I saw some Whistling Ducks at the pond in our apartment complex (never seen them before there), so I went out to see if I could get some shots of them. For the first 30 or so minutes, I got some nice images of two of them wading in the water. Then I heard a third one coming in. I quickly enabled auto ISO (which I have set to a minimum SS of 1/1250" or ISO1600, whichever it hits first) to freeze the motion and I fired off about 10 shots before it landed. Only a couple were in focus, and the one in best focus had a bad background (an apartment window). Here is my favorite.

Nice capture Miguel. Would have been nice to be on continuous for the sequence.

Very nice capture, Miguel.
Looks like you used a 2x TC on the 70-200. This is probably the reason why not all images were sharp.

Douglas - I did shoot in continuous, but this was my favorite of the bunch. I might post some more in a bit

Chris - I've found that the 2x on the 70-200 is quite sharp, I want to say it was more my technique. Gotta keep shooting!

Rob and Birdie - Thanks for the comments!
