This is part of a large pride in Botswana that spends a good part of its time in the water -- sometimes even hunting in the water. They are pretty good at putting on the "Damn , I am miserable" expression whenever they see someone with a camera -- so I didn't get too many happy faces from them -- too bad. Actually one time saw this pride get into a bust-up with another smaller pride -- these guys had just killed and were eating a red lechwe (mid sized antelope) when the second pride showed up in the bushes about 100ft away. And so, for about 15 seconds absolute chaos reigned as everyone went at it -- nobody got seriously hurt but everyone got scattered over a watery area of maybe a half square mile. It was interesting, then, watching them finding all their troops and reassembling their respective prides -- after a 15 second fight it took them hours to find everyone and restore normalcy.
