I took a bust as the Blue Angles passed overhead at Jones Beach. The gull was not in the next frame and I did not witness it fall.
This is one of those magic moments with the sun coming down onto my subject and the dark clouds of an approaching thunder storm in the background. This was the last pass of the Blue Angles who were the last act of the New York Air Show and the beach was cleared immediately after. We were able to get back to our cars before the storm arrived.
I’ve done a lot of aviation images recently and have been posting them over at City and Street. I hope to do some birding this weekend.
