Tomorrow (6/8) marks my wife and my 32nd wedding anniversary. It seems impossible as we are both still in our late 30's even with three adult children (23, 26 and 29!) I'm not sure where the years have gone but suffice it to say they have been fantastic and full of adventures...not all intended.
I had already been bitten by the Africa bug and rather than the typical honeymoon people took in 1980 I planned a trip to East Africa. Unfortunately I hadn't planned to make this post so I don't have lots of slides scanned in but I did do so of the wildlife highlight of the trip...on our last drive on the Maasai Mara a female cheetah decided to use our vehicle as a blind and ambush her prey (a female impala I believe). I was shooting with an Olympus OM3 with my first built in light meter...I think I had a Vivitar 70-200mm manual focus (of course) lens....And so it goes...
5 Note the cubs to the mother cheetah's left
