| p.1 #1 · Selection from the International Birds of Prey Centre |
Here's a few from the international birds of prey centre in Newent, UK. I was lucky enough to visit there on one of the very few sunny days we've had so far this summer.
The centre provides a great opportunity to get up close to a range of birds of prey and they also do three flying displays each day with four or five birds flown each time. Great for practicing those BIF shots.
C&C most welcome as always, hope you enjoy...
No.2 Indian Tawny Eagle:
No.3 Lanner Falcon entereing a stoop, these guys are fast!
No.4 Hybrid (I didn't check which two species this is a cross of):
No.5 Juvenile Bald Eagle. On most shots I decided not to clone out the restraints that the birds are fitted with as I'm happy to show them as they are seen at the centre, I appreciate this is not to everyone's taste.
No.7 Black Kite
No.8 Egyptian Vulture (a.k.a "Pharaoh's Chicken"):
No.9 Lanner Falcon
No.11 The juvenile Bald Eagle again.
No.12 King Vulture (shot through wire mesh):
Thanks for looking,
