I've been working so hard in my garden this spring I've had almost no time for photography. The end of no-time-for-photography comes when I arrive home from my morning botanical garden volunteer stint with a tiny crab spider on my hat brim. I walked her over to a blossom (they always favor the lighter colored ones) and coaxed her off. Then I went inside and retrieved my gear.
As you can see from the crook of her left legs in the sun, she's closer to a milky, translucent white than she is to green, but when the light surrounding her is cast in green, green works for her.
Took this with a Leica 135 Elamrit on Leica bellows on the 5Dii. This is still a fairly heavy crop,
Summer here, this year, means lots of spiders, lots of butterflies, and a whole new crop of prairie flowers. Looking forward to lots of shooting this year.
