p.1 #1 · RCA Component Cables

Do the "monster" style component cables with "gold" tips give a better
image on a flat screen than regular non gold rca component cables ?

The monster cables are much thicker as opposed to the thinner ones. If
there is no image difference then I want to use the thinner cables for
appearance purposes in my studio.

I doubt very much you would notice any difference what so ever. Other than the act that the 'monster' cable cost you loads more

I have never used them myself but I have seen a ton of recommendations for monoprice.com for cables. They are known for good-quality cables without Monster's rip-off prices. I don't know what length you need but monoprice has 12-foot RCA "premium" cables with gold-plated connectors for $5.

You spent all that money for a computer and monitor and now you want to cheap out on cables? Sorry, I had to get that in before someone from the "Gitzo above all others"' crowd chimes in.
