I finally splurged on a pelican case so I am going to bring some gear to the BWCA this year.
I am fully prepared to lug it all around, so save any warnings

Unless I hear any better advice, here is my plan so far...

-3x32GB cards
-all 6 batteries
-Remote trigger for tripod work
-My smaller tripod and head (VERY light vanguard setup)
- Tiffen .6 ND filter
-lens wipes and sensor swab
-Sigma 50 (practically glued on)
-Canon 135L
- Thinking of renting either a 24L or 24L ts-e from lensrentals.com... I have used the TS-e before and LOVED it, but am thinking of getting a 24L in the future so I would like to test one out for a week. Any advice re: the two 24Ls?

Any other things I might not realize I'll need in the wilderness for taking awesome photos?

Here's some food for thought. Try to camp on the eastern side of the hills as the weather comes from the west, northwest and southwest. I learned about this one year when a tornado came roaring through within a quarter mile of our camp. For a five mile stretch the trees were flattened in the path of the storm but the side of any hill opposite the direction of the storm was spared the falling of the trees. It seems the hills provided some protection.
