I like the composition of the first shot, Chris. It gives a nice feel. In the second one there is too much space wasted behind the subject for my taste

It is the Barn Swallow series that is on top of this fine set

Nice detail and BG in #2 Chris... I agree with Socrate on composition.

Barn Swallows are well done, and the Grey Heron is lovely in that field of flowers.

great captures Chris, love the swallows even on the perch
, i just seen my first ones also last weekend, caught some pics in flight but nothing perched, hoping for this weekend

I don't feel there is to much space wasted behind the subject in the second image but I can imagine why you feel that way.

The reed is part of the composition and it works for me that the Reed Bunting is looking out of the box.

I really appreciate your feedback and I'm glad you like the set.
