D800E at 3200 ISO hand held with Nikon 50mm f/1.4 lens. Just had a table top evening at our local camera club, and me being the gentleman I am, loaned my tripod to one of the young ladies. So I took this grab shot, hand held, at silly ISO of one of the scenes set up by my partner. - Wooly
About ten minutes after UPS deliverd my D800E, grabbed a battery from my V1 and my 500/4. Just to make sure the sensor was clean I hit the dust off photo while shooting a local visitor. Could not believe how well it works getting rid of all that dust!
Going to take a little getting used to the controls vs the D3s/x but how about that dust off process.
Everyone posting images, It would find it helpful if you post which lens and F-Stop were used, there seems to be a lot of conflicting information on which lenses perform the best on the D800/E
Manu,
Excellent images, Looks like the Zeiss 21 is a winner with the D800/E and also I was pleasantly surprised on how sharp the 300/4 lens is doing for you.
What are you doing for capture sharpening?
Steven
ps. I'm still waiting for my D800/E, for now I have the dysfunctional D800 just kidding, it's also a great camera but really want the E
thanks Steven. I don't apply any capture sharpening with my D800e shots. Didn't see a need as the images are bitingly sharp sooc. Even with output sharpening I apply very small amounts with an alpha channel mask.
