p.1 #1 · 600EX-RT recycle time...

I have had 2 since the beginning of April and shoot them with the ST-E3-RT Speedlite Transmitter and I think the recycle time is a lot slower then using my 2 580II with TT5's and TT1 and it really bugs me

anybody else have this issue?

Didn't notice that; however seems like in-flash bateries drain faster when using radio and that make sense. No data, only subject feel, during jobs I've thought, like what what are batteries dead already...

I have made the same observation....I can't shoot as fast as I did before.....thats not
progress.

I wonder if its not the recycle time, but the delay between the flash and commander to poll whether it is recycled or not adding to the recycle time

interesting... you said "a lot slower"... can you be more specific? by "a lot", i'd expect something REALLY noticeable. Would you be so kind to do some measurements? if you fire at full power, how long does it take to recharge?

I use the same setup and find extremely fast recharge. I have begun using eneloop 2500 batteries instead of the alkiline.
