Last time I went, the fog was so thick I couldn't see the waterfall. I'm glad I gave it a second chance.

One of the best I've seen from that vantage point, but I do with it had a tad more shadow detail.

Hi Chung,

Very cool looking shot! That's great that you didn't give up on it, the color in the clouds is so cool. I do agree with Matt, a bit more shadow detail on the left side would be great!

Chung - Outrageous shot (meaning good...)! And ditto on the shadow detail on the left side.

Thank you all for the feedback, and you guys are right, more details in the shadow would certainly help.

Oh, now this is really funny.

I'm the guy who drove 300 miles and showed up 5 minutes before sunset.

My version is a little brighter, but you can see in the clouds and waves we captured the same moment. What an incredible sunset!

Wow, nice sunset and view. I bet you could put it in LR 4 and easily get some detail in the shadows on the left .

Beautiful shot! I agree with the other posters, it would be perfect if you bring out some shadow detail!

HAHA, hey buddy! You're the guy with the 16-35mm lens! Great shot! I couldn't believe your luck, you made it just at the right time. Good to see you on the forum too.

Lucky is right! All 3 of us were very fortunate. I wonder where the other dude went...

I spent a week in that area expecting every sunset to be the same quality. Needless to say, I spent a lot of time finding ways through the bushels of poison oak, only to not get any shots.

Don't tell me all the sunsets were like that everyday for the rest of the week... That would just kill me~~~

The other guy came back to where I was after you moved to another spot. He was a resident photographer at a fancy hotel near by. He was doing a workshop/anniversary shoot for that couple. I don't think that couple realizes how lucky they were to see that incredible sunset.

Thanks again for posting this Chung. Your wonderful shot made me realize what was wrong with mine.

By the way. Your shot already has 12,000 views on flickr! Way to go dude!
