That was a really interesting video. I can't believe Nikon screwed up the D4 FX & DX modes so badly and I'm so glad we didn't get our hands on a D4 before the D800.

The D800 is reasonably good for video, better than I expected @ 36mp and I would say Philip's comments were spot on. We've used it (the D800) for video a little recently and up to ISO 3200 with some NR it's usable.

i believe the d800e will be fine for video ...for nature and wildlife. i read..but dont remember last month where video will not be different between the two d800 models...but then that might have been tech rep.

Nikon don't recommend the D800E for video either
