p.1 #2 · Canon mirrorless system camera around the corner?
Thanks for posting. Yet another lens mount!! Given the waiting list for Bo Ming's
adapter for NEX suspect if it is reasonably well implemented could steal the show
from others despite a late entry. We'll see.

"offering the image qualities that approaches SLR cameras"
pffft, guess my next body is a FF Sony, Canon has no vision, they are in bed w/ the video stuffz.

My big question will be how well will it do in the performance area. I handled the G1X in the store and performance all around, but especially autofocus was absolutely abysmal. I mean, it was painful to use.

There is a show at Hunt this weekend and will check out the OM-D tomorrow, I hope. Couldn't see buying the G1x for my G-series upgrade though. Still given the adapters for Canon already in hand something like this is convenient at least and I would be spared studying a manual.

That quote was in reference to compacts(P&S/G1X), not a mirrorless-ILC

After reading the transcript of the meeting, if there was to be any hint of a mirrorless it would have come when the topic was about interchangeable lenses, not when the subject switched to compacts.
It's my hope that Nikons rumored entry level FF will cause Canon to make their mirrorless FF,
that having a smaller FF camera will be more attractive to that market and to the mirrorless market,
a 2 birds with one stone situation.
