Matt, those shots are amazing  . Again, you certainly know how to put that lens to good use. Oh yeah, the 5D Mark III delivers, too, of course.
Here is my "macro" shot, well, at least an attempt to get a macro shot  . I didn't have my macro lens at this location but I used a 12mm extension tube with my 70-200mm Mark II to capture this tarantula. The first image is a crop of the full size since I couldn't get closer with my setup to render it bigger. And the second image is a probably close to 100% crop of the full size image.
