p.1 #1 · Color Efex - Noise

I love to use Nik color efex to add snap to my pictures, but I find that it also adds grain-like noise
I tipically use Tonal Contrast, Pro Contrast or Brilliance Warmth...

Do you have any suggestion to work it out

Thanks,
Francesco

Yes use Dfine2 latest version. Also CS5 Noise is effective. If there is a minor loss in sharpness with Dfine or CS5, use "structure" tool in Viveza or Sharpener Pro to fine tune.
I too love all Nik...!

You need to figure out how internally Tonal Contrast, Pro Contrast or Brilliance Warmth work. If that can't be achieved, you'd better off just using Photoshop native tools instead. For example, the Tonal Contrast effect can be easily achieved in Photoshop using inverted GB layer with either vivid light or linear light blend mode.

I use it AFTER! I have found that certain chroma and luminance adjustments in CEFxP will add small amounts of noise.
I then use Dfine2..SharpenerPro adds allot more.
Dfine2 is a non destructive way to remove that noise.
Good luck.
