Nice shots, Eric, but I was expecting to see a MGLO, not a GHO.
How did you determine which sex?

Anyway, the male is probably 1/3 smaller than the female. I would see him sitting on this tree about 50 yards and directly across from the nest. The female would sit on or very close to the nest. On one occasion the male flew from the tree to deliver a rat and then took off again and landed on a low branch about 20 yards away. I don't think the male sits on the nest and female hunts even in these days of equality in the work force
I will post a couple of shots of the female standing next to the nest...it really shows how much bigger she is than the chicks...a very impressive mother.
