I'm curious: Do you think B&H's supply of D800 cameras was equivalent to other Nikon new releases? I had my D800e reserved within 3 wks of release. Finally, last month I bought one from Roberts camera and cancelled my B&H order. It seemed worse than my M9 wait.

I do not. With the D800/D800E/D4 it seems to me Nikon USA has developed a different philosophy towards distributing these camera throughout the retail chain.That's my opinion and not entirely objective.
