Neochmia temporalis. He landed briefly in front of me (in very average light) - just long enough for me to get three photos. Two were blurred and this one had a piece of oof grass across the face, so a bit of PS involved.

Anyway, a first for me, so reasonably happy.

D7000 300mm f/4 AF-S. x1.4 TC.1/200 f/8 1000 ISO. Wamboin NSW, AUS
