Then you really wouldn't like the PanaLeica 42.5mm f/1.2, which is essentially completely devoid of spherical aberration. The Fuji has some at f/1.2...essentially gone by f/1.8. At f/1.2 it's light enough that you can compensate for it on most images by a gentle contrast tweak, but still is flattering for portraits. It can show up a bit with white against dark, though.
yeah, it looks really good as 85/1.8 replacement on FF but just lacks exciting character to me.
