yeah I really like it too, used it on Pentax gear previously, but it performance good on Canon also

A. Porst Color Reflex MC Auto 1:1.2 / 55 mm (Pentax / EOS adapted)

B.) MD Rokkor 50mm 1.2

The bokeh of porst is similar to rokkor. A bit more busy, but Porst is only sharp in the middle. On the other hand Porst has an special glue...

here you can see the problem with porst: for "normal" pictures it is too soft wide open...

Interesting. The Minolta's objectively the better lens, but I can see where the wonderful things about the PORST (bokeh, overall pallet) would be highly desirable. And while I'm sure the total lack of sharpness wouldn't appeal to me in a large print, at web-size, I like the overall rendering of the PORST shot more. Actually, I think if you layered in the sharper bike from the Minolta shot onto the PORST shot and corrected the neon-green fringing in the highlights, it'd be perfect.

It looks to me the Porst has lot weaker contrast?
Doesn't this weaker contrast affect sharpness?

Contrast contributes to how we perceive sharpness, as do image size and viewing distance, but increased contrast doesn't change actual sharpness for the area within focus. In fact, simply increasing contrast would likely make the fact that bike isn't sharp even more evident at the same size and typical viewing distance.
